Chico Scimone (1911-2005). The arrangement of "Il Padrino" reflects the cult which the cinema has made out of a Sicilian figure, the “uomo d’onore” , man of bygone times and values. Scimone wrote this piece with great irony and the intention to defeat the stereotyped image that still haunts our isle.
